Executive Director, TRC

For twenty four years, thousands of TRC teacher leaders, educators, professors, administrators, policy makers, and corporate partners have come together, stayed together, and worked together to build capacity in our schools and support excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education for all students.

This year’s theme, TRC: Telling Our Story! avails us many opportunities to share with each other, with our partners, and with all of our stakeholders the success stories of transforming our teachers, students, and schools to advance excellence in STEM teaching and learning.  Our past and present achievements propel us to renew our commitment to join forces with education, state, and corporate partners to empower STEM teachers with the highest quality professional development.   Working together, we will prepare a highly skilled scientific and technological workforce that will secure a better future for our country’s national security, standards of living, and economic competitiveness in this rapidly changing 21st Century.

TRC 21st Annual Meeting: Teling Our StoryTelling our story of successful collaboration among all of us in the STEM education community will help our schools enthusiastically continue our journey of achieving rigor and relevance, and sparking excellence in science and mathematics teaching and learning.

The TRC team has worked diligently to develop an informative and stimulating program of STEM presentations, demonstrations, exhibits, and panel discussions that embody the foundation and substance of high quality science and mathematics teaching and learning, and their connection to professional development and workforce preparation.

To our major collaborator, the Texas Education Agency, and to our corporate and P-16 partners, I express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for helping us mark another milestone of achievements in the service of STEM education and workforce development.

Thank you for taking the time to join us for another exciting professional experience as we Tell Our Story and spread the legacy of advancing excellence in STEM education for all students, teachers, and school systems!
