The Texas Regional Collaboratives (TRC) has accomplished much over the past 20+ years by pushing the boundaries of what a sustained professional development program could be. One of the things we’re most proud of is the sense of Community that has grown over the years, because providing training and resources is not enough. Teachers also need a support network where they can connect and share with other teachers. This is why, at its heart, the TRC is a network connecting thousands of Math and Science teachers across Texas.
Special thanks to our Collaborative Project Directors, who keep the network connected and the TRC Community growing.
This video was shot during the TRC 23rd Annual Meeting. In keeping with this year’s theme of Celebrating STEM Superheroes, the TRC honored teachers, project directors, and supporters who have gone above and beyond in supporting the TRC community and showing the value that TRC provides to education in Texas. The Texas Regional Collaboratives is a program of the Center for STEM Education at The University of Texas at Austin, which provides support for, and fosters collaboration among, researchers interested in conducting externally-funded interdisciplinary research on STEM teaching and learning, the conditions that influence it, and innovations that can maximize it. The Center for STEM Education also provides professional development for STEM teachers in Texas schools.
