Region 4 Science Collaborative / Houston
Mission
The Region 4 Science Collaborative provides opportunities for K–12 science teachers to share, model, and learn research-based best practices that lead to increased student achievement.
Accomplishments
In 2010-2011, the Region 4 Science Collaborative provided over 210 hours of professional development for participating Science Teacher Mentors and Cadre Members in the Houston area. Twenty teachers committed to receive 105 professional development hours between July 2010 and June 2011 to become a Science Teacher Mentor and over 70 teachers became Cadre Members impacting over 2,000 students in grades 6-12.
