The mission of the Texas A&M Corpus Christi/Region 2 Collaborative is to support science teachers with relevant, state-of-the art sustained and high intensity professional development to empower them to lead systemic reform in science education in the state of Texas and Region II area.
A collaborative partnership was established by Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Region 2 Education Service System to serve the science teachers located in the Region 2 area. This collaborative currently has 41 elementary science teachers participating in the program. During the previous 2 years we have trained 76 STMs from grades K-12 and have provided over 400 CMs with 12 hours of outreach training. We currently have 17 districts participating along with two charter schools and one private school.
