UTACES is the newly formed collaboration uniting University of Texas College of Engineering and Aldine ISD elementary science teachers of grades 3, 4, and 5. The goal of UTACES is to lay the foundation for Elementary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (E-STEM) through DTEACh. UTACES works hand-in-hand with engineers and elementary teachers to establish a program that can be delivered locally and expanded nationally, E-STEM features the development of practical problem solving skills, hands-on technology exploration, open-ended design problems, and project reporting including communicating scientific information, describing design solutions, and answering questions, Our vision is to "Produce the Nation's Best!"
This is the first year of the UTACES collaborative. Watch us as we "Produce the Nation's Best" elementary engineering program for our students!
