Mission

To create a science learning community for Concho Valley teachers, schools, and districts through program development and sustained teacher professional development in science content, pedagogy, and curriculum development.

Accomplishments

The Region XV STMs are busy mentoring their Cadre Members with information they receieved at trainings in Geosciences, Physics For All, Physics by Inquiry, GLOBE, and a wealth of many other great inservices. Our STM team presented "Be Resourceful, Go Natural!" the 13th Annual Meeting and at CAST 2007, and we have plans to present again at this year. One of our ITMS, Pam Cohea from Coleman ISD, receieved the honor of Texas A&M Scientific Research Society Elementary Teacher of the Year. Another ITM, Ginger Anderson from May ISD, will attend the TRC High School Astronomy Project in June. The enthusiasm and devotion of our mentors is a driving force that makes our collaborative a successful venture!
