Directory of Collaboratives

Mission

The mission of The University of Texas at Tyler Teachers of Mathematics Collaborative (UT^3MC) is to increase student achievement in mathematics through professional development focused on engaging, technologically driven, research supported pedagogical practices. Through encouragement and support, we seek to equip Tyler area teachers with the knowledge and experience to cognitively challenge their mathematics students and effectively improve their teaching practices.

Accomplishments

This is UT^3MC's first year as one of the Texas regional collaboratives. We are currently implementing a model that services a small group of teachers throughout the school year. Through this model, each teacher receives training in 6-9 modules with each new module building on lessons learned in previous modules.
