Mission

The Region 14 Math Collaborative is committed to providing math teachers with the highest level of excellence in sustained professional development designed to enhance their leadership capacity and enable them to engage ALL students in interesting, relevant, experiential, and meaningful math learning experiences. This includes a complete awareness of the current mathematics curricula, best practices for helping all students learn and the best use of technology to facilitate this process.

Accomplishments

In the initial year of the Region 14 Math Collaborative, approximately 540 teachers participated in training provided by the grant and these teachers impact over 12,500 students in their classes K-12. Also, about 60 teachers participated in the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching, CAMT, many attending this intense professional development conference for the first time. We look forward to having equal or better results this year since we have trained about 300 teachers in the first four months of the grant.
