Mission

The goals of the Central Texas Regional Collaborative for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching are to provide high-quality, sustained, TEKS based professional development to math teachers and to build the leadership skills of those teachers as they return to their campus/district and share their learning experiences with their peers. This model enables more students to benefit from workshops provided by Region XIII.

Accomplishments

Region XIII Mathematics specialists, consultants, and partners currently work with teachers from high-needs districts/campuses to help them change their instructional practices and address needs of diverse student populations.

Our collaborative has created small cohorts of teachers in common areas who have attended recommended workshops together this year . This has facilitated the formation on a beginning level of collaboration between and among teachers from different districts regarding their curriculum planning and teaching strategies.
