Mission

The mission of the Region One ESCRegional Collaborative for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching is to support, serve, and promote effective math education; to assist all stakeholders in various forms of involvement in mathematics; to adhere to both national and state standards; and to encourage and facilitate the highest level of mathematical proficiency attainable by learners.


Accomplishments

In the 2006-2007 school year, Region One ESC provided professional development to 414 math educators including teachers, math coaches, and administrators through the Texas Regional Collaboratives for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching grant. There were 33 districts and 111 campuses served: 93 public schools, 1 private school, 7 charter schools, and 4 alternative schools.
